CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A Mississippi company that employed numerous plaintiffs who now have claims pending in MDL 1553 has moved for a protective order after plaintiffs' counsel served a subpoena on one of the company's employees earlier last month. In Re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1553 (S.D. Texas).

In a motion filed Dec. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, LeTourneau, Inc. asks the MDL court to limit the scope of information the plaintiffs have subpoenaed from the company. LeTourneau also maintains that the subpoena is facially vague and fails to disclose …
