SAN FRANCISCO - A California judge has sustained demurrers in two more California silica complaints after defendants claimed that the plaintiffs' claims were improperly joined under state rules of civil procedure. Bass, et al. v. Abrasives, Inc., et al., No. CGC-04-432581; Bowser, et al. v. Abrasives, Inc., et al., No. CGC-04 432171 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
In an order entered and signed Nov. 30, Judge James Warren of the San Francisco Superior Court sustained defendants' demurrers to plaintiffs' amended complaints with leave to amend and re-file the cases by Dec. 22 pursuant to the order. The order follows …
