Settlement of Prior Silica Claim Bars Sandblaster from Bringing New Action, AO says

BEAUMONT, Texas - A former sandblaster who settled a silicosis claim with a sand supplier more than two years prior to filing another lawsuit against additional defendants is barred from bringing his claim because the applicable statute of limitations has expired, a respirator company named in the suit contends. Urieta v. Sermatech International Inc., et al., No. E-0165082 (Texas Dist. Ct., Jefferson Cty., 172nd Dist.).
