PORT GIBSON, Miss. - A defendant named in several Mississippi silica cases has moved to dismiss the claims based on a recent ruling in a multi-party asbestos case where the state's Supreme Court severed the plaintiffs' claims for their failure to specifically allege the factual and legal bases for claims asserted against each defendant. Hodges v. Clark Sand Company, et al., No. 2004-25 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Claiborne Cty.).
