OAKLAND, Calif. - A new silica complaint has been filed in California on behalf of several plaintiffs alleging injuries from exposure to silica dust. Brown, et al. v. Lone Star Industries, Inc., et al., No. RGO4158233 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
The lawsuit, which includes a count for wrongful death filed by the family of a man who died from his silica-related injury, was filed July 15 in Alameda County Superior Court and names nearly 50 defendants. The complaint joins several others that have been filed recently in Alameda and San Francisco counties.
