Sources: Humble Sand v. Gomez Resolved; No New Trial on Duty to Warn

AUSTIN, Texas - Sources told HarrisMartin Publishing that parties have resolved a landmark silica case in which the Texas Supreme Court reversed a nearly $2 million verdict and remanded with instructions to conduct a new trial on the sand supplier's duty to warn sandblasters directly of the dangers associated with the product. Humble Sand & Gravel, Inc. v. Gomez, et al., No. 01-0652 (Texas Sup. Ct.).
