EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The first of several silica cases pending in Illinois' Madison County Circuit Court has been set for trial, according to an order entered earlier this month. Edwards v. Ingersoll, No. 03-L-1888 (Ill. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).
On Aug. 18, the Third Judicial Circuit Madison County Court entered a case management order, which sets several deadlines leading up to a Sept. 12, 2005 trial date.
According to the order, parties were required to initiate written discovery before Sept. 18. Discovery and depositions were to be completed by July 12, 2005. Other deadlines include:
