MDL Judge Grants Motion for Special Master

CLEVELAND -- Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio has granted a jointly filed motion for appointment of a special master in the welding rod products liability MDL. In re:Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).

The Aug. 30 order grants the plaintiffs and defendants' request for a special master to assist the court in both effectively and expeditiously resolving disputes between the parties. The parties filed the joint motion July 23.
