MDL Judge Orders Defendants to Identify Silica Products Distributors

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The judge overseeing the silica MDL has ordered defendants in the proceedings to name all distributors they used in the nationwide sale and distribution of their silica-related products. In Re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1553 (S.D. Texas).

Judge Janis Graham Jack issued the order Aug. 19 during a regular hearing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. An order finalizing the ruling was issued several days later and requests specifically that the defendants disclose the name and location of all distributors within the continental United States.
