Next Two Welding Rod Trials Set to Take Place in Texas

ANGLETON, Texas -- Two Texas lawsuits alleging neurological injury as a result of exposure to welding rod fumes have trial dates in September, and will be the first cases to go to trial since the nation's first welding rod plaintiff verdict, according to several sources. Garza, et al. v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 2003-05-002710-G (Texas 404th Dist. Ct., Cameran Cty.); Presler, et al., v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 23472 (Texas 23rd Dist. Ct., Brazoria Cty.).
Jury selection will begin Sept. 7 in Garza, set in the 404th District Court for Cameron County, while trial is set to begin …
