SHREVEPORT, La. -- Defendants named in 10 Louisiana welding rod lawsuits have filed motions to dismiss, asserting that the plaintiffs fail to plead causes of action of fraud with the proper specificity. Anderson, et al. v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 04-0591-S (W.D. La.).
The lawsuits, which include Anderson, Brach (04-0585), Caston (04-0579), Duck (04-0578), Garcie (04-0578), Lindsey (04-0581), McIntyre (04-0590), Norris (04-0594), Seiduffin (04-0584), and Williams (04-0589), have since been stayed pending transfer to the welding rod products liability litigation MDL in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
