MDL Judge Signs Order Extending Split Remand Order to Remaining Lawsuits

CLEVELAND -- Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley has signed a jointly filed stipulated order extending her recent split remand order to an additional 38 welding rod lawsuits. In re: Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation, Docket No. 1535 (N.D. Ohio).

The Aug. 6 order entered in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio remands 23 lawsuits that both plaintiffs and defendants say contain the same jurisdictional issues as 46 Mississippi cases remanded in a May 21 order.
