BEAUMONT, Texas -- J. Ray McDermott Inc. has filed a third-party complaint against co-defendants in a welding rod and asbestos exposure lawsuit, contending that some of the co-defendants may have contracts with McDermott requiring defense and indemnification. Benoit, et al., v. J. Ray McDermott, Inc., et al., No. A168572 (Texas 58th Dist. Ct., Jefferson Cty.).
In a second supplemental third-party petition filed July 2 in the Texas 58th District Court for Jefferson County, McDermott contends that the third-party defendants are liable to the marine construction company for all or part of the plaintiffs' claims.
