CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Silica defendant 3M Company has filed an agreed-to protective order concerning documents produced by the company during MDL discovery proceedings. In Re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1553 (S.D. Texas).
The order, filed June 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, sets guidelines aimed at preserving and maintaining the confidentiality of all written materials, videotapes and other tangibles that might contain proprietary information about the company's products.
3M previously filed an opposed confidentiality order after failing to reach an agreement with plaintiffs' counsel on the terms of a proposed order. …
