EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- An Illinois plaintiff alleging neurological injury from exposure to welding fumes has amended his lawsuit to include allegations that carbon monoxide in welding fumes caused his seizure disorder. Thetford v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 04-L-332 (Ill. Cir. Ct., 3rd Jud. Cir., Madison Cty.).
On Aug. 6, plaintiff Rick Thetford amended his complaint filed in the Illinois 3rd Judicial Circuit Court for Madison County to not only allege that manganese in welding fumes caused neurological injury, but also that he was exposed to exposure to toxic fumes from welding with propane and propylene.
