Two California Suits Allege Conspiracy Among Defendants, Insurers, Associations

SAN FRANCISCO - Two more complaints alleging injury caused by exposure to silica have been filed in California against a multitude of defendants, who plaintiffs claim conspired for years to hide the dangers of dust exposures from workers and their employers. Bowser, et al. v. Abrasives, Inc., et al., No. CGC 04432171; Apisa, et al. v. Abrasives, Inc., et alNo. CGC 04432414 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
The complaints were filed last month in San Francisco Superior Court, where an additional similar claim has been pending since December 2003. All three complaints contain similar allegations against nearly 100 defendants.
