PORT GIBSON, Miss. - A plaintiff in a Mississippi silica case is urging the case's special master to reconsider a ruling he issued recently in which he recommended that defendant Ingersoll-Rand be awarded summary judgment on claims that the defendant had a duty to warn sandblasters of silicosis risks associated with the company's air compressor. Abbott v. Pulmosan Safety Equipment, et al., No. 2002-308 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Claiborne Cty.).
