- Motion/Order
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - 3M Company has filed a motion for protective order in the silica MDL, seeking a vehicle for keeping certain proprietary information about the company's products confidential. In Re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1553 (S.D. Texas).
In a motion filed May 12, 3M says it has conferred with the plaintiffs' steering committee in MDL 1553 in an attempt to draft an unopposed confidentiality order for information disclosed during the pendency of discovery. However, so far talks have not yielded an agreement. Accordingly, 3M said its Rule 26(c) motion for protective order is opposed.
