JACKSON, Miss. -- The Mississippi Supreme Court granted a joint motion effectively staying a welding rod fume exposure complaint until the Ohio judge overseeing the welding rod products liability MDL determines whether the complaint belongs at the state level. Dearmon, et al. v. Lincoln Electric, et al., No. 2002-396-CV12 (Miss. Sup. Ct.).
The March 8 order from the state's highest court also halted a writ of prohibition filed by the defendants seeking the recusal of the judge overseeing the complaint.
