PORTLAND, Maine - A Maine couple recently sued 11 welding manufacturers, claiming that the husband's exposure to manganese in welding fumes caused his Parkinson's disease symptoms. McGowan, et al. v. Air Products & Chemicals Inc., et al. No. 2:06-cv-00049 (D. Maine).
Brian and Kerry McGowan filed suit on March 8 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine against Air Products & Chemicals Inc., Airco/The BOC Group Inc., Arcos Industries, ESAB Group Inc., Enterprise Wire Products Inc., Hobart Brothers Co., Illinois Tool Works Inc., Lincoln Electric Co., Mid States Wire Processing Corp., National Standard and Tri-Mark.
