OAKLAND, Calif. - A plaintiff in a silica case has filed an opposition brief in California, claiming that general statements about the silica litigation that defendants presented in support of having his case thrown out are irrelevant and should be disregarded. Brown v. Lone Star Industries Inc., et al., No. RG05-210447 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).
Chester Brown filed the brief Feb. 6 in opposition to defendants' demurrer, in which it was alleged that Brown's second amended complaint failed to assert that any of the defendants named in the suit were a cause of his injuries.
