Argument on Boren Retrial Motion to be Heard March 10

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Sources told HarrisMartin Publishing that argument for a retrial in an Illinois man's welding fume case will be heard MArch 10, three months after the jury found for the defense. Boren v. A.O. Smith Corp., et al., No. 00-L-886 (Ill. 3rd Jud. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).

Sources indicated that eight defendants were left at the conclusion of the trial -- The BOC Group, TDY Industries, ESAB Group Inc., Lincoln Electric Co., Praxair Inc., Sandvik Inc., Union Carbide Corp. and Viacom. Only conspiracy allegations remained against Viacom, sources said.
