Case Involving 34-Year-Old Sandblaster with Acute Silicosis Set for Trial Next Month

BEAUMONT, Texas - Parties in Texas are gearing up to try a silica case filed by a 34-year-old former sandblaster who doctors have diagnosed with accelerated acute silicosis. Davis v. Air Liquide America Corp., et al., No. B-0165976 (Texas Dist. Ct., Jefferson Cty.).
The trial has been set for April 12 in Jefferson County's 60th District Court, according to court sources. It had originally been set for April 5, but was postponed one week by District Judge Gary Sanderson because of a conflict, court officials said.
