ST LOUIS -- A Missouri welding rod complaint alleging that conspiracy among welding manufacturers and trade organizations caused his exposure to toxic welding fumes and subsequent development of Parkinson's disease is among three cases that were scheduled for trial in the coming months and have recently been continued. Edwin v. A.O. Smith, et al., No. 012-10337/Div. No.1 (Mo. Cir. Ct., St. Louis City).
Beginning Sept. 7, plaintiff Antonio Edwin will begin his attempt to persuade a jury that his work as a welder since 1983 has exposed him to welding fumes containing manganese, causing his Parkinson's disease.
