CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The judge overseeing the silica products liability MDL has dismissed various defendants from several silica cases now within the jurisdiction of the court after determining that the plaintiffs failed to serve their complaints in a timely manner. In Re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1553 (S.D. Texas).
In a modified order entered Feb. 5, Judge Janis Graham Jack granted several defendants' pending motions to dismiss for untimely service, thereby dismissing the claims without prejudice.
