CATLETTSBURG, Ky. - A former Kentucky brick and boiler maker who also spent time as a laborer and welder has sued dozens of companies claiming they are responsible for causing him to develop a silica-related injury. Hargett v. Air Liquide America Corp., et al., No. n/a (Ky. Cir. Ct, Boyd Cty.).
Allie Hargett sued nearly 75 defendants in a complaint filed recently in Boyd County Circuit Court, alleging that his exposure to silica while working for General Refractories and Ashland Oil caused him to develop an unspecified silica-related disease.
