West Virginia Complaint Filed by Thousands of Plaintiffs Transferred to MDL

CLEVELAND -- The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has transferred a closely watched welding rod lawsuit from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, before that court ruled on a motion to remand filed by plaintiffs in the case. Adames, et al., v. AGA Gas, Inc., et al., No. 5:04-44 (N.D. W.Va.).

The Oct. 18 transfer sends the claims of an estimated 2,400 plaintiffs to the Welding Rod Products Liability Litigation MDL, pending before Judge Kathleen M. O'Malley in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
