Court Grants Interlocutory Appeal of Denial of Motions to Dismiss and Sever

ATLANTA -- A state Court of Appeals has granted a defense motion seeking interlocutory appeal of a recent decision in which a state court judge denied motions to dismiss or sever claims filed by approximately 340 plaintiffs in seven welding rod lawsuits. Lincoln Electric Company, et al. v. Long, et al., No. A05I0028 (Ga. Ct. App.).

In an order entered Sept. 15, the Court of Appeals for the State of Georgia granted the defendants' application for interlocutory appeal and, on the same day, denied the plaintiffs' motion to dismiss the application for interlocutory appeal.
