Judge Sets Aside Two Defendants' Shares of $300 Million Default Judgment




BROWNSVILLE, Texas - A judge who entered a nearly $300 million default against more than a dozen defendants in a Texas silica lawsuit has set aside the judgments for two parties that claimed their failure to timely answer the complaint was excusable Fragoso, et al. v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 2003-05-2778-G (Texas Dist. Ct., Cameron Cty.).
