PHILADELPHIA - Defendants in the Philadelphia silica litigation have objected to plaintiffs' attempts to cure alleged deficiencies in their short-form complaints, arguing that supplemental medical reports provided as evidence of the plaintiffs' silica-related injuries still fall short of requirements set by the consolidated docket's case management plan. In re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, March Term 2003, No. 0001 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).

In a letter brief filed with the court on Dec. 18, the defendants contend that the short-form complaints remain deficient and should either be supplemented with additional medical information or dismissed entirely.
