CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The judge overseeing MDL No. 1553 has entered a broad order governing the preservation of documents, enjoining any party from altering the substance and location of any records that might be the subject of discovery requests or responses made during the pendency of the litigation. In Re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1553 (S.D. Texas).

By order entered Dec. 12, Judge Janis Graham Jack of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas entered the Order for Preservation of Records, which briefly outlines procedures for altering, destroying or moving discovery documents.
