PORT GIBSON, Miss. - A special master overseeing several silica cases in Mississippi has granted a motion for continuance based on the entry of appearance of a member of the state's Legislature. Jones v. Pulmosan Safety Equipment, et al., No. 2002-87 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Claiborne Cty.).
In a Report and Recommendation entered Dec. 12 in Claiborne County Circuit Court, Special Master X.M. Frascogna Jr. recommended that plaintiff Nathaniel Jones' Jan. 7 trial be continued until Mississippi's Legislature has adjourned.
