California Silica Plaintiff Dismisses Majority of Defendants

LOS ANGELES - A plaintiff in a California mixed dust silicosis case has dismissed nearly two-thirds of the defendants named in the case, sources have told HarrisMartin Publishing. Ogan v. Union Pacific Railroad Company, et al., No. BC293705 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
On Aug. 13, plaintiff Darrell Ogan dismissed without prejudice 71 of the 102 defendants named in the suit he filed as a result of his alleged exposure to asbestos and silica at a foundry owned by Pacific Southern, which is now owned by Union Pacific Railroad, a source said.
