CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The judge appointed to oversee the newly created silica products liability MDL in Texas has issued her first order since the docket was established. In Re: Silica Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1553 (S.D. Texas).
Judge Janis Graham Jack of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas entered the order Sept. 11, establishing the practice and procedures for all cases transferred to the federal district court on Sept. 4, as well as all future tag-along actions transferred pursuant to Rule 12 of the Federal Rules of Procedure.
