Judge Grants Silica Plaintiffs' Motion to Hold 'MaskFest II'

HAZLEHURST, Miss. - A state court judge overseeing a silica case in Mississippi has granted a plaintiffs motion to hold 'MaskFest II,' a reference to an event where defendants make samples of their products available to plaintiffs for inspection. Brewer, et al. v. Pulmosan Safety Equipment, et al., No. 2002-0459 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Copiah Cty.).
Judge Lamar Pickard of the Copiah County District Court granted the motion July 28 after plaintiffs had urged the court to schedule early product identification, in a similar fashion as it had in other silica cases pending before the court.
