LOS ANGELES - A former foundry worker employed by a company now owned by Union Pacific Railroad has sued his employer and dozens of others alleging his exposure to dust at the foundry caused him to develop silica-related disease. Ogan v. Union Pacific Railroad Company, et al., No. BC293705 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The complaint, filed recently in Los Angeles Superior Court by Darrel Ogan, alleges that Ogan suffers from silica and asbestos-related injuries as a result of his dust exposures and that the defendants named in the lawsuit conspired to cause the alleged illnesses.
