ALBANY, Ga. - A 36-year-old Georgia man has sued his former employer in state and federal court, claiming the company negligently exposed him to silica, which caused him to develop lung cancer. McDonald v. CE Minerals, Inc., No. 03-CV-81-1 (M.D. Ga.).
In lawsuits filed recently in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia and in Sumter County Superior Court, Donald McDonald seeks in excess of $100,000 for his alleged silica-related injury.
