CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The judge overseeing the Clemtex Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings has denied a motion by claimants to file claims against the debtor a mere three days after the absolute claims bar date had passed. In re: Clemtex, Inc., No. 01-21794 (S.D. Texas, Bankr.).
In an order issued May 6, Judge Richard S. Schmidt of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas ruled that the claimants' motion to file claims past the March 31 absolute claims bar date should be denied.
