Silica Defendants Move to Compel Screening Co. Depositions

PORT GIBSON, Miss. - Defendants in a state court silicosis case have moved to compel depositions of an X-ray screening company they claim is the sole reason the lawsuit was filed in the first place. Craft, et al., v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 2002-23 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Claiborne Cty.).

The motion to compel was filed in early March in Claiborne County Circuit Court and seeks to compel responses to written discovery concerning the screening services, namely N&M Inc., as well as the production of documents and 30(b)(6) depositions of the company's employees.
