PORT GIBSON, Miss. - Silica plaintiffs asked to identify products in deposition may be forced to stick to their answers if a court decides to grant a motion for protective order filed recently in an attempt preclude them from later supplementing their product ID lists. Craft, et al., v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 2002-23 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Claiborne Cty.).
In the motion, filed in late February in the Claiborne County Circuit Court, defendants alleged that on several occasions plaintiffs in pending silicosis cases in Mississippi have identified as many as 65 additional products in supplemental interrogatory responses. That …
