FAYETTE, Miss. - Defendants in several Mississippi silica cases set for trial in May and June have filed motions seeking a continuance because, according to the motion, they have been unable so far to obtain adequate discovery responses from plaintiffs that would allow the trials to move forward as planned.
In one of the cases, Craft v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 2002-0023 (Miss. Cir. Ct., Claiborne Cty., a continuance has been granted by the Special Master overseeing the case and was expected to be adopted shortly by Judge Lamar Pickard. Continuances are now being sought in Glass, …
