TITLE: "Dust Control Measures in the Construction Industry"
SUMMARY: The study was designed to evaluate the impact of control measures in the construction industry for reducing quartz dust exposure. The researchers analyzed full-shift respirable dust measurements and short-term measurements, as well as the results of questionnaires among 1,335 construction workers. They determined that full-shift measurements showed exposure levels of up to 63 times the maximum allowable concentration value of 0.075 mg/m3. More than half were above the MAC value.
