Pending Case Added On and Transferred to Alameda County Coordinated Proceeding




OAKLAND, Calif. - A pending welding products case in Contra Costa County was added on and transferred to the coordinated cases in Alameda County on July 7 because the judge said the plaintiff alleges similar causes of action and theories of liability. Reginald Johnson v. The Lincoln Electric Co., et al. (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).

Superior Court Judge Ronald M. Sabraw of the California Superior Court for Alameda County said Reginald Johnson's allegations are similar to those in the coordinated proceeding. Johnson claims he suffered neurological injuries as a result of exposure to fumes emitted during the welding process.
