GALVESTON, Texas - Parties in a Texas silica suit are awaiting word on whether the dissolution of defendant Key Houston more than three years before plaintiffs sued them for alleged silica-related injuries forever bars their claims against the company. Barnett, et al. v. American Optical Corp., et al., No. 03CV1071 (Texas Dist. Ct., Galveston Cty.).
Argument on a Key Houston motion for summary judgment in the case was heard June 23 before Judge Lonnie Cox of the 56th Judicial District Court in Galveston County.
