Thousands of Plaintiffs Among Recent Silica Claims Filed in Mississippi

ELLISVILLE, Miss. - Two lawsuits were filed recently in Mississippi on behalf of thousands of foundry workers who claim they sustained injuries as a result of exposure to silica dust. McGowen v. Dependable Abrasives, et al., No. n/a (Miss. Cir. Ct., Jones Cty.); Hall, et al. v. Dependable Abrasives, et al., No. n/a (Miss. Cir. Ct., Jones Cty.).

The lawsuits, filed in Jones County Circuit Court, include allegations against silica products manufacturers, suppliers and companies that made sandblasting equipment and respiratory devices designed to protect workers from dust exposure.
