Silica Cases Consolidated in Texas; Set for March Trial

TYLER, Texas - More than a dozen cases have been consolidated before a City Court of Law Judge in Texas and have been set for trial in March. In re Silica Cases; Guindell, et al., No. 44-886 (Smith Cty, Cty. Ct. Law).
According to court sources, Judge Thomas A. Dunn of the Smith County Court at Law entered consolidation orders in 16 separate cases on Dec. 2. Each alleges injury as a result of exposure to silica dust, a source said.
