Ala. Court Throws Out Expert Testimony in PCBs Exposure Suit, Says Opinions ‘Unreliable’

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –– An Alabama federal court has issued an order precluding a number of experts from testifying in a PCB exposure case, finding in part that the expert testimony was unreliable.
In the Feb. 12 opinion, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama granted defense motions to exclude five experts, citing a lack of specific causation and the failure of two of the experts to follow the protocol of their own employer.
