ST. LOUIS — A Missouri judge has dismissed a class action lawsuit seeking economic damages related to the purchase of Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder, which the plaintiffs claimed they would not have purchased had they been aware of a risk of ovarian cancer associated with the product.
Judge Ronnie L. White of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri granted a defense motion to dismiss the suit Nov. 13, ruling that it failed to allege that the plaintiffs suffered any ascertainable loss as a result of buying the product.
