BATON ROUGE, La. — The widow of a former electrician who worked for nearly 40 years at a Kaiser Aluminum plant has filed a wrongful death lawsuit claiming that her late husband’s malignant brain tumor was caused by his workplace exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
Sharon Glass filed the complaint in East Baton Rouge Parish against Monsanto Co. and CBS Corp. for their role in manufacturing and distributing PCB and PCB-containing products that her husband James was first exposed to in 1963 when he began working at Kaiser’s Baton Rouge, La., alumina plant.
