Calif. Supreme Court to Review Component Parts Decision that Departed from Maxton

SACRAMENTO, Calif. –– The California Supreme Court will review an intermediate appellate court order which held that the component parts doctrine does not shield a supplier from liability where a plaintiff allegedly suffered a direct injury from using a product as intended.
According to the high court’s online docket, the petition for review was granted on July 9.
